North Hills Christian Homeschoolers

North Hills Christian Homeschoolers is an organization of Christians in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania who are personally committed to the home education of their children. It was founded in the fall of 1999 as a result of the interest of North Hills homeschooling families desiring a local support group. NHCH currently serves over 175 homeschooling families in western Pennsylvania.

In addition to supporting many ongoing NHCH-sponsored initiatives, the association provides a forum for members to share their experiences and resources as well as a large group context to unite smaller more intimate support groups and to launch member-sponsored activities.

In summary, we exist to:

· encourage and support parents in their homeschooling;

· introduce members to one another, to facilitate supportive personal relationships with other Christian homeschooling families;

· collect and disseminate information relevant to homeschooling in our region;

· facilitate activities that enhance parents' and children's overall educational experience;

· pool our individual resources to better serve other members of NHCH;

· unite smaller support groups and complement them with the resources of a larger affiliate
